About CARRS
This Web-based survey was developed and is being administered by the Recreation Industries Research Center, The Department of Community, Agriculture, Recreation and Resource Studies at Michigan State University. The Department was recently formed to assist the development of sustainable communities by conducting excellent scholarly research, teaching and outreach in (1) leadership, education, and communication, (2) community, food, and agriculture, (3) natural resources, land use, and the environment, and (4) recreation and tourism.

About RIRC
The Recreation Industries Research Center (RIRC) conducts more than 15 web-based surveys annually for a variety of agriculture and recreation industries. RIRC has developed and applied advanced new Web-based survey technologies. The Center’s research and technical assistance efforts are focused on: agriculture diversification, farm and farmer markets, AgriTourism, recreational boating, cultural tourism, camping and B&Bs.
